Sculptured MDF Wall Panels
Recommended Installation Methods
Listed below are several recommended installation methods for sculptured wall panels. A licensed professional contractor should be consulted with to determine the best option available for your specific application. Doormark Inc. will assume no liability or responsibility for modification or incorrect installation of any product.
Z-Clips: Z-Clips may be used if there is sufficient material thickness to allow screw attachment of the clips to the sculptured wall panel. Panels of recommended thickness can be used for z-clip installation. It is recommended the installer first glue wood screw cleats to the back of the panel and should run the panels full width to ensure support across the entire panel.
Construction Mastic: High quality construction mastic (liquid nail) or equivalent can be applied to the back of the panels and secured on to a structurally sound surface. (Please follow construction mastic manufacturers’ application instructions)
Direct Screw Attachment: Sculptured wall panels can be attached by screwing directly in to the panel back. As in the case with z-clips, the panel should be specified thick enough to accommodate the screws that are used.
