3d Laminate is a PVC material which is thermoformed to the profile of an underlying engineered wood core such as medium-density fiberboard. Click Here For Instructions On How To Care For It.
Medium Density Fiberboard - MDF is an engineered wood product made by breaking down hardwood or softwood residuals into wood fibers, combining it with wax and a resin binder, and forming panels by applying high temperature and pressure. MDF is generally denser than plywood. It is stronger and much denser than particle board. The back side of the panel is typically covered in melamine.
Melamine is a paper product that is saturated with resins to make it durable. It is applied to the backside of the MDF board that we use for our thermofoil components. White melamine backs are standard for all colors. “Matching” backs are available for some colors. Verify availability.
